Now that summer has officially come to an end, and the rain and snow season is just around the corner we would like to recommend our favorite indoor activities to enjoy in the Cowichan Valley.

Duncan Lanes Bowling

Duncan Lanes is great for a physical indoor activity, plus who doesn’t love bowling!? They are open 7 days a week and offer 5 pin or 10 pin bowling, perfect for kids, adults or both! Check out their website   for hours of operation and to see their daily specials!

Cowichan Aquatic Centre - Skating, Swimming & Fitness

Only 3 minutes away from the Duncan Ramada is the Cowichan Aquatic Centre! Once there, you will find activities for all ages. Here  is a link with their 2019 fall schedule. They offer a variety of fun activities, including: public skating, drop in hockey, public swimming, aquatic fitness classes and dry land fitness classes.

Caprice Movie Theater

Who doesn’t love to spend a rainy afternoon at the movie theater snacking on popcorn & candies! Going to Caprice Movie Theater is a great inexpensive way to spend the evening, and if you go on Tuesdays admission is only $5! Click this link to see what is playing and for show times!

Hand Of Man Museum

15 minutes away, in Genoa Bay is The Hand of Man Museum of Natural History, Culture Arts & Conservation. If you’re looking to spend the day going back in time, or getting up close with a Woolly Mammoth then this is a great family friendly indoor activity. They are open daily 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Matisse Day Spa

Spend the day relaxing, staying warm and getting pampered at the beautiful Matisse Day Spa,  a hidden gem located Downtown Duncan. They offer a large variety of treatments and relaxation packages for you to choose from. You can enjoy these services with a group, or on your own, either way you’ll be left feeling rejuvenated head to toe!

After a day full of activities, head back on over to the hotel lobby, where you’ll find The Old Fork restaurant, ready to serve you made from scratch comfort food.

Open for dinner, take out or dine in till 9pm.
